Hello mate. Did the slackening the pipes off and advancing it but I don,t seem to be able to stop her smoking! Had her out on a 50 mile run today and the smoke was as bad as it is in a morning when she,s cold.

So at the right money it might be worth a punt? Can do the vale stem seals and have replaced a turbo on a previous 2.5 TD I fitted to a series .Hmmmmmmmm.............:D

Might have the chance to buy a 200tdi Discovery thats just had a new 1/2 engine but is blowing oil out of the pipe at the back of the turbo onto the exhaust pipe(thats the only info I have on location of the problem:rolleyes:) According to the seller the turbo is ok and the engines compression...

Well I,m still struggling with these frigging brakes :mad: Still got some braking but when the pedal is depressed(or is that me!) there is no gradual application of the brakes.Its like treading on a house brick but the pedal goes about 1/2 way down to the floor?It also does stop but not as well...
