    P38A Battery Drain

Did not the L322 12v direct from the battery to the HEVAC cause battery drain, could it be anything like that.

    Freelander 1 Heater

How does the dial feel when turned from hot to cold. What preceded it. If the temp needle reads half way up this weather without a FBH, I would check the coolant

    Advice people on srs light

If you can work under there fine, my back and footwells got divorced. You can just prop the front of the seat up when bolts are out, to me quicker to whip the seat out, pop the pre tensioner off, plug it back in, and have the empty floor space to work, than **** about limbo dancing in the...

    Seeking refuge

Nothing beats a well running Webasto, that turns on the ATC full blast after it has been running for 5 mins. Like someone has taken it for a 15 min run to warm up for ya.

    Freelander TD4 Swimming In Oil

PCV is something frequently missed, or unaware of by even enthusiastic DIY service, until oil is spotted. It means the engine WAS badly breathing due to possibly the original filter, engine is fine. MO, semi synthetic is not good enough, fully synthetic is what I use. My PCV was done recently...

Battery disconnect not needed for this, but do it to be safe, and wait 15 mins before unplugging the pre tensioner. I probably did not explain very well, fact is it could be anything the others have said, but if it is the side of the connector on the loom that comes out the floor, a new pre...

    Advice people on srs light

the under seat airbag and pre tensioner connectors are famous for SRS warnings. There is a 50/50 chance the problem is the side of the connector on the car loom, replacing the pre tensioner will be a waste of time, as the fault will still be there. You can either take the connectors apart and...

Aux heat, do i have it ??

Sorry for not replying, been real busy. It sounds to me like your FBH is faulty. Basically when the FBH starts, the air fan runs for about 30 seconds to purge any fumes from the combustion chamber, it then idles as it performs self test. It then starts the dose pump at a slow rate, and turns on...

Aux heat, do i have it ??

Ah, I think you are referring to the manual or timed heating, if this is not working, then the problem will be with the Webasto. Your L322 will have a Webasto Thermo top CZ or V Have done two TDV8's last week with faulty Webasto PCB. I can test, diagnose, and repair/refurbish the Webasto...

    Drivers seat goosed

Move both seats back fully, look at the back of floor runners, and compare them to see if the drivers seat is is as far back as the passenger

Aux heat, do i have it ??

Correct. The OP more than likely has a problem with the Webasto. If it is the PCB, the Webasto can remain in situ, anything else the Webasto has to come off. Could be the dose pump, but unlikely.

Disco and some Range Rovers use the same set up and FBH Is yours a L322 with a Thermo top like this

    Removing fuel burning heater

Correct, the fuse being in or out makes no difference when pulling the 2 pin power connector from the FBH, as long as both the engine and FBH are not running.. But if you decide to plug it back in, best to remove the fuse first

    Removing fuel burning heater

Best thing it to access it and pull the 2 pin plug. You may think you don't want to use it but the fact is the FBH is used it every time you start your engine when the temp is 6 or below as a auxiliary heater. The alternator sends a start up signal to the FBH each time you start the engine. If...
