    ACE trouble codes

I had a look this morning and the ace fluid was foaming so off to the local 4x4 breakers and got a new pump, fitted it, no circulation, bled the pump by cracking the banjo fitting and hey presto all good and no ace light so thanks very much for your help. I forgot to mention in the first post...

    ACE trouble codes

Hi Everyone I have a 2002 td5 with the ace light on it had a load of old codes in there but after wiping them the only one that came back was: 20 Valve Block out of spec after about 15 miles the light went red and that code was present with this: 18 closed loop pressure not under control...

    Off road requirements

if you're new to off roading I'd go along to a pay and play day, Bures is in Essex/Suffolk border area, watch other people in similar vehicles before you attempt any obstacle, but don't worry someone will always pull you out when you get stuck. Buy wading plugs, jate rings and a couple of long...

    Headlight washers

Its quite an easy job to put a new one on, they come with a bit of tube it might be easier to cut this down and join it to the old one rather than pulling the old one out, replacements are quite cheap have a look here. https://www.lrdirect.com/ Good Luck Kev

    200tdi Alternator

Morning everyone, I'm pretty sure the alternator on my 200tdi is coming to the end of its life (charging light coming on intermittently and rev counter dropping back to 0) I've already rebuilt it once. Question is does anyone know a straight forward swap for better charging as I do have extra...

Might try Euro's on Friday cos sometimes they have 'Friday specials' on oil but maybe only if you're in the trade, still worth a call Kev

If it's only one side could it be a ride height sensor?

    rough as a bullbars arse

Be careful using back to black if your thinking of painting your arches later cos if I remember right its full of silicone and you will never paint successfully over that.

    TD5 centrifugal oil filter cover

If I remember correctly they are m6 threads but there is enough material there to run an m8 tap through.

Fix air suspension or go with coils?

If its any help I had a td5 which would sag on both sides within half an hour if it was left at normal ride height, but if it was left at full height it would be perfectly ok. Spraying with soapy water didn't reveal any leaks but I changed both air bags anyway and that fixed it. Its an easy job...

    RS light

Hi everyone, I've been looking through here and have a question, does the horn always stop working if the ring in the steering column is damaged? I have an N reg 300tdi with the srs light on and the horn still works. I am sure I have read that the light flashes on one side or the other, this one...

Any garage will plug it in and give you the results, but there will be a charge.

What is the painting order ?? ........??

Any primer with zinc in it will help keep the rust back, doesn't really matter what colour especially as this will not be seen.

What is the painting order ?? ........??

I've never used Fertan, but if it says wash it off then do so, wait till its dry (or the seam sealer won't stick) then seam seal the joints and welds, then red primer, then topcoat. If you use Hammerite as a top coat you don't need to prime. Good Luck Kev
