Read multiple threads on air suspension but still in search of a definitive answer.

Car sits 3 cm lower on right compared to left. I've even raised it to extra height... left is 86.5cm from ground to edge of wheel arch and right is 83.5cm. I deduced that compressor and pipes have no leaks. I left extended springs up all night till noon next day and no loss in height on either side.

Am I likely to have a faulty height sensor? If so, would an ordinary mechanic/garage be able to fix it? I read that it needs to be calibrated in one thread. I don't want to take it to a dealer as over here they are extortionate (slovakia) and since there aren't masses of Land Rovers here, specialists are few and far between.

Is my best option to convert to springs?

If its any help I had a td5 which would sag on both sides within half an hour if it was left at normal ride height, but if it was left at full height it would be perfectly ok. Spraying with soapy water didn't reveal any leaks but I changed both air bags anyway and that fixed it. Its an easy job to do and if the air bags on the car were the originals 14 years and 166000 miles is pretty good going, so I wouldn't bother changing to springs.
Good luck.

I've had a look at that link earlier...also read this one Discovery 2 leaning [Archive] - Land Rover UK Forums
and now more confused than ever... fault could be any of a multiple of further things;
1. re-callibrate with nanocom
2. dodgy sensor
3. front damper/spring

Has anyone had this issue and what was the problem? I really don't want to be burning money by changing all sorts of parts.

with a faulty sensor it won't stay inflated imo, disconnect the batery and swap sensors, if it will inflate the other way around you need calibration, if it will be like before it's front suspesion uneven

Have left it overnight again, no loss in height. I've measured the front and exactly the same 3cm difference. Front left is 83cm and right is 80cm. Back left is 86cm and back right is 83cm. If the problem is the rear airspring, would it manifest itself at the front as well?

I've had a look under the car and the suspect airspring (right) is not as 'extended' as the left one.

I'm thinking doing the following diagnostics:
1. swap sensors as suggested by sierra ferry (thanks)
2. measure front and rear after swap
3. nanocom callibration - though will have to save up :)
