Things I need - any recommendations?

Thanks, that's a great start! I am dubious about these Chinese copies, but that's not a bad price. The one's I really like are the 'clamshell' style ones, as they look a lot more aerodynamic that the others...but then are more restrictive in terms of space, I guess?

    P38 low range selection

Might also be worth changing the transfer box oil - never gets done and if the car has covered some miles it could do with it! My RRC has done 133,000 miles and changed the transfer box oil the other day, looks like it had been there from new! :( Was already very smooth, but even better now :)

Things I need - any recommendations?

I'm compiling a list of things I need for our trip to Morocco this summer, was after some recommendations. I am trying to keep the spend down, so please keep them budget conscious - for instance, I don't wanna be spending £150-£200 on a CB radio when a £90 will do the job just fine! Things I...

    Tesco's car park expedition?

**** that, go in balls deep - I took the RR to Aldi the other day, made it out with barely any panel damage and at least some of my dignity intact. Obviously I then had it steam cleaned before going to Waitrose, Jeeves drove.

    Range Rover Linley Wanted

Wasn't that fussed TBH, but good researching! :D

    Range Rover Linley Wanted

Just found this thread on Google, but must admit I've never seen one for sale! Only 10 were made, I bet most went to the US/Middle East, though. Did the OP ever find/buy one?

What's the coolest/rarest thing you've seen on a RR Classic?

Haha, was looking through my RR file for something else and found the official accessories brochure, here's the saddle rack you mentioned - and a rather tasty gun cabinet! Speaking of gun cabinets, whilst not original these look rather nice in the back of an LSE currently for sale on Pistonheads:

Any electrical guru's in the South East fancy helping a fellow owner out?

Weirdly, as if by magic, the sunroof decided to work today, the first time in about 4 months - and weirdly, at the first sight of sunshine! Love it:

Odd dilemma: RR Classic or RR Sport for trip to Morocco?

Yeah, Goodyer 4x4 look after her and are working their way round bit by bit, as my finances allow! To be honest, it is a very solid car and basically sound, just wear & tear items to service/repair/replace as you would expect after 18 years and 133,000 miles! Very true - BMW is also more...

Odd dilemma: RR Classic or RR Sport for trip to Morocco?

Even an RRC with EAS, ABS, T/C and LPG (and some other acronyms I've probably forgotten)?

Odd dilemma: RR Classic or RR Sport for trip to Morocco?

Hi james, that is the main thing 'against' the new cars - the "what if they go wrong" question! Having said that, I think the RRC is more likely to go wrong, and you read about more and more D3/D4's doing this sort of work, some on a fairly regular basis. I wouldn't want to just leave the RRC...

Odd dilemma: RR Classic or RR Sport for trip to Morocco?

Well, good news is we have FINALLY got our work commitments sorted out and my brother and I are going to Morocco this year, on one of the Trailmasters organised trips, can’t wait! However, this does bring me to a vehicle dilemma; I bought my RR Classic (V8 on LPG) last year specifically...

    eas rrc heights?

No idea then, sorry! I know the tolerances are +/- 7mm and the heights as Kev & I listed, other than that no idea what the input values are, sorry! Not in RAVE I take it?

    Pulled anything big ?

Yep, small trailers and flat beds only pretty much! Yep, and its bl00dy expensive too FWIW! £300 minimum I think?

    eas rrc heights?

I think the measurements are 830mm/790mm/730mm (offroad/standard/access modes). Can't remember what extended and highway mode are I'm afraid! http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/range-rover-classic-eas-video-ride-heights-178984.html HTH :)

    Two to Four..Again

Noooooo...I urge you, keep the bike (as well)! I've never got that, several of the guys I ride with have young families and all still have their bikes! The only one who gave any part of biking up was the chap who raced, which is fair enough. But giving up all together? No chance!

    Pulled anything big ?

Speaking of licences and insurance, if your licence was issued after a certain date you do have to take a test to get the appropriate licence to tow a total train weight in excess of 3500kg! Something worth bearing in mind if you've had your licence less than about 10 years and want to tow...

    Pulled anything big ?

Cayenne - ugly, thirsty, but flippin' quick in Turbo S form!! I've towed a flat bed Brian James with three motorbikes and spare wheels/wet tyres, jerry cans of fuel, etc, so that was probably a train weight (car + trailer + bikes) of 3500-4000kg? Also towed my old bathroom to the tip in a...

My Range Rover Classic expedition project (ongoing, pics etc)

Got the car back from Goodyer's and they replaced the transfer box oil, both diff oils, have cleared the fault code for the airbag light (looks to be a faulty resistor somewhere in the loom!) and topped up the swivel pins with more grease. Weirdly there is no play whatsoever in the swivel...

T-Cut has a bad rep...but it does have its uses!

Autoglym vinyl and rubber care on the dash/doors/wood trim, Gliptone leather cleaner and conditioner on the seats and rain-ex on all exterior windows. I have T-Cut the paint to remove scratches from greenlaning but typically use Meguiars Gold Class Polish and Meguiars Tech Wax to seal the paint...
