The rod falls off because they normally have a little fiddly metal clip to hold them on. That’s if the design was the same on earlier doors than mine.

The side demister kit does work...... to a degree. It is certainly better than not having it. But, it is by no means amazing. I’m happy with mine.

You do know you’ve bought a diesel? It is in fact a 300tdi (turbo DIESEL)

Like I say, Ive since done the relay mod as per the video. But there wasn’t any difference in mine either when switched between the two.

One click = side lights and dim headlights Two clicks = side lights and full brightness headlight Although, if like mine, the headlight don’t do dim. They just came on full. Hence why I don’t the relay mod.

That’s if you want only your side lights on when the switch is switched on. Otherwise just leave it

Funny you say that, I noticed the same after fitting mine and thought I done something wrong. Yeah headlights come on with side lights (but dimmer than normal(supposedly)). It’s a pink relay behind the clocks. I’ll find the link I used.

Removed windscreen wiper mechanism, cleaned and regreased. Now wipers work straight away instead of waiting for the old grease to warm up and melt.
