Thanks for the reply I can understand why people would lift them for looks and better height off road but that's not for me I may need some steering guards and diff guards as this could be a problem if I hit some rocks:D

Can anyone tell me how capable a standard discovery 2 td5 is off road I have brought some mud tyres and plan on doing afew other bit but I wanted to no if anyone struggles on standard height as I dont want to lift it and would like to do some laning and maybe try some pay and play days also have...

I think the window could be jamming in the rails as you say the windows are tilting forward and unable to raise back up I would check the bolts are tight in the rail that holds to window if not you can rule that out my passenger window does that some times I have never bothered to repair it yet.

I had thought about dintrol but some one has given me a 5 litre tin of black wax oyl so I will use that this summer then dintrol next summer I like the idea of them box sections sills I might have to find some box section premade on ebay and weld them on I fear the worst is going to be footwells...

Jesus that look like a big job broke out the trouble is u can soon open a tin of worms and the more you strip down the more you find which is what I think I'm getting into when I take off these stupid side steps tomorrow

Cheers for the reply I will check the watts linkage as most of the bushes on this landrover are perished and the radius arms for play yea I will price up a sill and the footwells are gonna be a night mare but once there done it wont need touching for a while

Hello and welcome I braved mine whilst a brief look round at night I paid £750 for mind it had 180k on the clock and 5 month Mot but it isn't without it problem it's worth it tho don't no what I would do with out my work horse.

Well it nearly MOT time I have had a quick look round so far and found 3 places to weld up 2 on the foot wells and one on the sill not too much this year I also have a clonking somewhere between the gear box and rear axle any suggestions of what to check I know these doughnuts can split would...

Yea I don't have any ground I just joined glass and have a map of greenlane but I'm not gonna attempt it on road tyres and with the three amigoes I'm not sure the traction control works.

Cheers mate I have just brought a lynx evo not sure how good it is I brought it as a back up and to take air suspension light off now my amigos are back I sould probably fix them instead of deleting them do u ever get round any greenlane round here would be good to go out on afew soon.
