I’ve just ordered a new swivel seal for my 110, I’m planning to fit it by making a cut in the top of the new seal so I don’t have to strip the whole thing down. I assume my swivels are filled with 'one shot grease' as I don’t have a drain plug. My question is how do I drain them?

i am following manual, it says; switch on ignition wait 3 mins, switch off for 15 secondsand repeat 6 times then with accelerator depressed start the engine, it worked when the tank was almost in position but have not tried it again yet.

I have just replaced the fuel pump on my 110 td5, as my fuel guage had stoped working. I also ended up replacing the return pipe form the filter to the pump as it snaped while lowering the tank. when got the tank connected up again and almost in position, i thought i should make sure it worked...

Have just done what you said and can now just about find all the gears whilst the engine is running. It is a bit crunchy trying to find first, forth and reverse. Do you think it needs a bit more bleeding?

I cannot engage any gears whilst the engine is running, however if i switch the engine off, put the transfer box in neutral and engage first gear when i start the engine i can still select high or low. The clutch then works as normal but then have to turn the engine off to take it out of first.

Thanks very much for all your helpful information. Managed it in the end with a piece of wire and alot of patience. All back together now, plenty of pressure on the clutch pedal but still cant find any gears so it looks like its off to the garage :(

I decided to change the clutch slave cylinder yesterday, within half an hour the slave unit was off and ready for the replacement to be fitted. As I tried to pull the rubber push rod seal from the rod the rod itself came detatched from the cluth arm. There is a small plastic clip that slideds on...
