What did you do with your Range Rover today

Probably because the news went and said prices will rise by 10 to 15p a litre on Sunday, so people are freaking the **** out... again.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Oh, yes. I absolutely did that. I remember my training in college some 20 years ago and being told to do that, so absolutely did. Oh an unrelated note, I wonder if dampers can self bleed while installed.

And we're done. I only had a saw blade with some electrical tape wrapped around one side to use as a saw so cutting through the stud took time. Turned out the damage was a couple of threads into the nylock too, which is why it'd bind when I got near the end. Not having an angle grinder or a...

Damper fitting day! First damper was a piece of ****. Bottom stud being sheared off helped a lot. 18mm up top, and 17mm for the new damper and bolt. Even had a 19mm hex built into the damper to hold it still while tightening. Second side however, the last 2 threads have degraded a lot. Too...

    P38A Are they worth it??

You say LPG, but I drove past a forecourt on Monday slinging it for 129.9 a litre (average round here is 99.9). So even that isn't the saving it once was.

Is a dirty diesel, but I'd be lucky if that lasts me 3 weeks. I normally need a tank and a half a month.

I filled my P38 from just on orange line to brimmed. £140.03

I got in touch at lunch to be told unfortunately the parts were already with DPD and are on standard shipping. Got an email from DPD telling me I am getting the parts tomorrow. So it sounds like they have upgraded me for free

Ordered new dampers from Bearmech, forgot it was the jubee weekend and only selected standard delivery. Need to call them now and see if they'll let me pay the difference for next day.

To be honest, you're not missing much by not having the special tool. Still loads of clearance issues with it. You still have to rotate the prop shaft to get the bolts in the sweet spot. And the socket can get trapped under the u/j. I just use 9/16 open ended spanners.

That's called the axle, it is what keeps the wheels on the ground. Nark.

    P38A Drivers door lock

Wiring diagram. I used it in conjunction with this website when diagnosing my own door issues. Get a good multimeter before you start, that was my downfall.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Yes, I had to change the whole BATUK fleet of Landies because they'd be done backwards. Pretty sure they should be )|( not (|)

Not going to replace the Terrafirmas with the same though. Just going for Bearmech, 35 quid a pair rather than 100 a pair  10 years old though, so not bad.

Doesn't rain but it pours. I thought the suspension felt a little soft in the rear driving home.

My soul cries at the thought of 15 quid, but I probably spent more than that on braided **** that seems to last about a year.

Ah, get ya, didn't notice that bit. Fair point, well made.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

This is checking wiring, but can do it all from the comfort of the passenger seat. Can check all 4 sensors from one plug. Perfection.

Not sure if this is any use to you, but I was planning on trying it when I get onto fault finding my ABS.
