ICheck for a valve block on the inner passenger side under the bonnet, its a big lump that you can't miss. If you don't have one of these then it's more than likely you don't have abs... I have a 1998 300tdi gs and it doesn't have abs. You may have the wiring for the abs sensors though, remember...
