    if youve screwed the idle mix all the way in. thats the wrong way (clockwise) to richen the mix...youve leaned it out too much, screw it about 2 turns out (anticlock), see if this works, that will richen the mix.

    i was amazed to see a landy still being used like this, would of expected a Toy*** or something a little newer!. it looked tidy from a distance, get up close and the chassis firewall, well, you can imagine what the salt water would do!

    Glad to hear it!!, hey a bit of a tip for cleaning the oily varnish thats around the inside of yer block... you need to raid yer wifes cleaning cupboard (i know a scary place!!), find the orange topped "cillit bang", spray this stuff all over yer block, wash it of...good as new. just dont...

    dont forget to replace your frost/core plugs!, its a good time whilst the engine is out. would be a buggar to do all this hard work and find out after you have a leaking plug!.

    i know that nissans LD28 fits right onto the series gearbox with no mods, smokey, noisy and bastids to start,mine used to have one but it popped a valve, probably from the high revs!. ive seen a couple of holden adapter plates on trade me, think its for the 602 engines?

    ive been having problems with the clutch too. good thing is tho, i can bleed it all out in about 10 mins! think the seals have gone in the master as sometimes fluid will run down the pedle, sounds like a baster of a job cheers.

    its in the region of 12v, i think your right too, it aint the propper coil, says for use with ballast resistor (my bad)! i have put an old coil off a mini on, lucas (12v ignition), but this still get pretty hot, i.e. it would burn you when you touch it! i think it may be buggerd as the car...

    when you were bleeding the system did you pump the pedal? i always use a jam jar and some old clear pipe, keep pumping untill no air comes out, and the keep the pedal fully down and tighten up the bleed nut.

    I have a '70 series 2a, petrol 2.25, problem is, when the engine has run for about half an hour their is a loss of power and it cuts out completly, the other day i was listening to the radio, parked up the engine not running but the ignition switch on, the coil blew itself apart with a puff...
