    I found that a good amount of heat works good!, i did have the grind a flat and hit it with a hammer an chisel as plan B, but the heat did the trick on both shafts. As for the roller bearing in the chrome swivel ball, i just pressed them out, there not a real tight fit the outer races, easy...

    Freezing it aint gonna do much good!!!, itll shrink it and make it grip more. Ya wanna get a good blow torch heat it right up and using a drift, hit it off. Simples!, may be even another approch would be to get a good big chisel and split the inner race?. Hope this is of help.

    Right, Got it made up out of some sheet alluminium, Its been die cut out of one piece and folded square at the front, so its ridgid - and then that gets rid of the centre bracket. Ill get some pictoors tomorra when its light. thanks for the destructions and mesurements pholme68!.

    I have the same problem on a 3.9 with lucas hotwire injection system, its the stepper motor, a divice at the back of the plenum on the drivers side, it adjusts the air bypass at idle. easy job to replace 5 min job/one beer!. My problem is there like rocking horse shyte over here!!. Hope this helps:)
