Aye we were asked to give a directionally challenged moggie a lift back up the hill. Apparently the last time it followed the walkers down to the pub it took him two days to get home. Hmmm I used to have trips to the pub like that.

Ere you go i thorgth i post this up now i've fitted it. Built in a metal box with the power tran on the inside. Also fitted a switch to set it back to mech ignition if required. When she has compleated a few months of use i'll "pot" the box with glue etc.

How does the engine sound? lumpy? if so do a pressure test you may have a inter-cylinder gasket blow and you are runing on 2 cylinders.

Aye off side spring hanger. but on mine i had to remove all the paint and even then it was hard to read.

Keep them both for a while and use the 300tdi as a parts doner. Ps The cheepest way i have found of moving a landy is not to rent a trailer but to call one of them guys that advitise "Cash payed for old cars" and get them to move it for you. Cost me £60 notes to move a series 3 110 40 miles.
