    Paint?

Use Gearson multiple times and still alive, just make sure it's pulled tight on your head (wearing a wolly hat always works and stop you having sticky hair for days).

    Good security idea? Or bad...Deadlocks

This is where I stole the picture from. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/222002605831?_mwBanner=1 As a fabricator by trade I would make my own up as I can get hold of the actuators for next to nothing, and some simple wiring and relays should do the job as the alarm would be linked in to them under the...

    Good security idea? Or bad...Deadlocks

Having an alarm that's louder than a v8 screaming its nuts off and an immobiliser that cuts 4 different circuits just isn't enough for me. I remember years back my mums car had a "deadlock" setting which would slide bolts out of the doors and into the Pillars, I'm thinking this could be a...

    Light Connector Block Seal

For the price and for a complete water tight seal i'd replace them with a super-seal connector. http://www.12voltplanet.co.uk/superseal-waterproof-connector-pair-2-way-1-5-series.html (First link I found, much cheaper on Amazon etc...) The Landrover plugs are known as "Econoseal" Still used...

Resetting a wiring loom back to stock?

Weird..... The colours you have given are all related to ignition / constant 12v feed, seems it's sending power down the white/orange for some reason, trace that cable to see where it ends up (should be at ignition Barrel) if I remember correctly white/orange connects to Ignition Aux 2. As a...

Resetting a wiring loom back to stock?

Looking at the Red wire into the indicator relay, It goes into "49" which is the permanent power supply to the relay, This is Live even without Ignition. Good idea on the remote relay, especially if your wanting to put higher rated headlights / bulbs in. Also what colour wire it the red...

    Swivel Balls grease or oil?

Need to check / replace the fluids in my swivels on my 110 (1994 300tdi). I would guess the fluid needs to be ep80/90 but just came across this https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/swivel-ball-fluid-grease-renewal.134359/ Should I be putting oil or grease in? Is there any major benefits...

Resetting a wiring loom back to stock?

What pin does that red wire go to? If it's 49a then it would be to flash the indicators upon alarm setting / activating. Makes sense if fuse #5 has melted (standard a 15amp fuse) to then be spliced in with a 25amp so the Heater would work. Personally I'd have a look at the heater blowing if it...

Resetting a wiring loom back to stock?

Chop it all out and re-wire the lot is the best idea, especially as its previously had fuses melt. AMR2341 relay (Red) is wiper blades Black relay next to it is the indicator relay Looking at the 25amp fuse and the white wire and white and orange (both these are ignition / Auxiliary) coming off...

    Child Seat/Isofix in a Defender 110.

Isofix can be retro fitted easily in any normal car at the mounts bolt in to the existing seat belt points. The issue you'll have is the fact the rear seats are so high up compared to the seat belt mounts.

    Self levelling unit & shocks...

Just went to pick up a new set of rear shocks for the 110, was asked if it has self levelling fitted or not (it does). Due to this it put an extra £55 on each shock, are shocks for cars with self levelling units any different or are they taking the **** and should I just buy the ones I was...

Freelander 1 Side repeater on all the time - MOT failure

Freelander 1 Side repeater on all the time - MOT failure

Removed the indicator relay, indicators stopped working, light stayed on! When the car is locked the repeater flashes quite dim compare to when indicating I noticed the problem about 4 months again after a load of heavy rain, not sure if it's connected or not, unless it's always been like it...
