Starting to think that these pumps are becoming a rarity, 429 views but no replies. Are 200tdi injector pumps really that hard to come by?

    Disco 1 200tdi temperature sensor

Many hanks for your help on this, I found that even the new 200tdi temp sensor although the same diameter as the sensor that is in the head, has a much finer thread. The existing sensor is the original 200tdi sensor that came with the RRC donor engine. So, lots of things to check here...

    Disco 1 200tdi temperature sensor

Righty ho, according to various parts sites on the web, the 300tdi and MPI sensor are the same part no AMR1425. That's tomorrow's purchasing mission. Only the reversing lights and heated rear window to sort out after that

    Disco 1 MPi to 200tdi

Hmm,. The MPI was pulled out about 13 years ago when Joyce's had the vehicle in storage. The correct period 200tdi went in about 6 months ago as the vehicle was being recommisioned. I'll see if I can find an MPI sender .....

    Disco 1 MPi to 200tdi

Many thanks, got to it today and found the White wire was floating free, connected it to W and now the tachometer workday treat. Next job is the temperature sensor/guage. Getting 10.3v at the sensor on the engine so wondering if the dash instrument is naff.

    Disco 1 200tdi temperature sensor

Hello, Since aquiring a '93 D1 3 door version on Friday I have been working my way round the electrics that don't work. Got the tachometer working by making the connection with White wire to the back of the alternator W terminal. However, got no temp guage at the moment. With engine...

    Disco 1 MPi to 200tdi

It was in dry storage for 13 years at Joyce's Land Rover. Not sure why the MPi was taken out but it now has a correct period 200tdi and goes like a train. Got the original decals and it's paintwork is unmarked.

    Disco 1 MPi to 200tdi

Hello, I am usually on the Series Forum, but I just aquifer a 3 door '93 Discovery 1 pre facelift that I couldn't resist when it came up for sale. However, I have a problem with the rev counter not working since the switch from Petrol to Diesel. Is the rev counter signal triggered the same way...

Series 3 At wits end with brakes

Flossie and Rob1miles - thanks for your help, slacked off and adjusted the pushrod (as per Haynes manual) and now brakes are spot on. That is the good thing about this forum - lots of experience and mostly better than my own.

Series 3 At wits end with brakes

I did wonder. The pushrod lock nut is right at the end of the pushrod ie set for maximum brake pedal return. Have I got it wrong and the nut should be further up the pushrod to properly pull back on the piston?

Series 3 At wits end with brakes

Hello, I need some serious help please. Just changed the following: Brake Master Cylinder; All 4 wheel cylinders; Hard pipes for new Kunifer pipes; All unions; All hoses. Now the brakes are locked-on on all 4 wheels and the brake pedal is solid. I have bled it out 4 times as per the book -...

Series 3 Front brake pipe union position

It's the 4 way union that sits on top of the chassis section under the steering box. 3 hard brake pipes come out of it and the master cylinder feeds it - so no Flexi pipes involved. Just struck me it is mounted in an awkward position and mounting it on the vertical inner face of the chassis...

Series 3 Front brake pipe union position

I thought so too. The good news is the new kunifer pipes are quite generous, may need a replacement for the master cylinder to union tho'.

Series 3 Front brake pipe union position

Hi there, The time has come to replace the brake pipes and hoses on my '75 SWB series 3. So, the front brake pipe union sitting on top of the chassis is in an awkward place with tight pipe bends. Has anyone relocated it a few inches so it sits on the vertical inside face of the chassis? It...
