Hello,

I need some serious help please.
Just changed the following:
  • Brake Master Cylinder;
  • All 4 wheel cylinders;
  • Hard pipes for new Kunifer pipes;
  • All unions;
  • All hoses.

Now the brakes are locked-on on all 4 wheels and the brake pedal is solid.

I have bled it out 4 times as per the book - no air coming thru the last time around.

Its a series 3 with a non-servo single pipe system with a CV type master cylinder.

Can anyone diagnose this problem?

Master cylinder push rod adjustment?
I did wonder.

The pushrod lock nut is right at the end of the pushrod ie set for maximum brake pedal return.

Have I got it wrong and the nut should be further up the pushrod to properly pull back on the piston?

The master rod does not pull the piston back,it has a spring that pushes it back, but if rod is not adjusted correctly piston can not come far enough back to allow fluid to return to reservoir and the brakes stay on.
