Maybe a mod/admin could add JPs instructions and link to the first post in the thread as well? so people starting from the beginning don't miss how to do it.. and JP doesn't have to repeat it every other post! :D
Good idea. Added meself.. seems some of you lads are local to me!
Anyway, it'd be good to get this or something similar built into the site, but hidden from viewing for guests? chomplicated stuff I know, but someone must be able to do it!
When somebody pull out and 'bumped' into the side of my Defender, it smashed his entire front light cluster.... and chipped the paint off my running strip.
I pulled into a side road and he drove off. Thats the best way to deal with insurance... not at all!!
I found a few details that could help, and thought I'd add em on here incase anyone searches for stereo stuff and comes across this topic.
Now, its from another forum, so don't lynch me.. we're all one big happy breed remember!! click here for said link
Hello!
I'm having a bit of a headache with my wagon at the moment (surprised??) and wondered if any of you guys could help?
Basically, my 110sw used to be a utility truck for southern elec/scottish power or someone of the like, and it had an amber light, adhoc alarm, winch etc etc fitted. All...
When I bought it, i parked it up and went to bed (late night purchase!). Woke up the next morning looked under it and thought "oi ****er, aint no oil in it!" I checked and there bloody is! I'm scared its gonna fall apart or sommat
Uh oh! My 200tdi doesn't drip a drop. mind you this is evened out by the amount my 110 used to drip (the stains still decorate the inlaws drive! )
You wouldn't want my defender mate, its got no tax or MOT either, for a first time set of big wheels, its awful (brilliant if you want a big project though)
It'll take a while to format a whole list, but the main parts are:
Bulkheads are going
Chassis is going I think (its hard to tell as an ancient undercoating is now flaking away)
The camber on the nearside front is buggered (not horrendously but its not a good thing!)
A seal has gone on the...
Uber bump!
Rather than make a new post I thought I'd just bring up this one again. Unfortunately the '86 110 has retired from running life (not that its unfixable £500 to a good home :P ) so I have invested in a '91 200tdi Defender which is like totally different beast, it has a punch and...
It worked! dead easy to change, even if it was 9pm, pitch black (bar torch light) and -3c!
Thanks for all the help and welcomes, I think i'll stick about!
Sorry, would help if i gave specifics eh?
Its an '86 110 2.5 N/A (forgive my ignorance, I don't know if this has a more descriptive name)
But from the jist of your post I guess its just not a good idea in any case.
