Freelander Cruise control help needed please

Hi there, thanks for your very detailed response, lots of info! Yup, mines an Auto so there's still a glimmer of hope I think for Cruise Control. Interesting you mentioned the wiring for the CC ECU comes out under the drivers seat? I looked the other day with my camera phone, and found...

    Oil covering pipe. Hose leak?

Hi, thanks for the rapid reply that's interesting to know, what you explained. Is it possible the EGR Valve gets full of debris over time maybe, becomes a bit clogged and so 'leaks', and this is the result? E.g.a leak due to increased pressure, rather than an actual hole? I read on a...

    Oil covering pipe. Hose leak?

Hi, I wanted to ask what you guys thought could cause this corrugated pipe to be covered in engine oil (or diesel?) and collect lower down. The location of the item concerned, is behind the large black Inter-cooler hose to the right hand side of the engine. E.g. to the right of the EGR...

Freelander Cruise control help needed please

I found these instructions regarding a Rover that uses the same Cruise Control Interface Unit (SCB100212) part as the Freelander (even badged Land Rover), which apparently is the 'relay' according to RAVE CD. Image Additionally people would still need some kind of mountin bracket, and an...

    Freelander in the snow

Thank you very much, willo. :) It took my eye as it has a black edge and the only one I've found for LR is a chrome edge and ends at 17''.

Speedo - What are the buttons for?

Hi. Hopefully Davec is correct. The Freelander has a rover metro esque 'digital clock' which as we all know doesn't have a temp gauge on it, maybe the USA market insisted and this is where it's hidden?

    2004 td4 - 2006 td4 heated seats swap?

Good point Chaser, I'll look for some wires under the seats tommorow and/or buy the heating element 'pads'. My seats are weird kind of rubberised material on the Sport. Found the switches as Mantamad suggested, as a first step: Parts: HEATED SEAT SWITCH LH. PN: YUG500290PUY HEATED SEAT...

    Freelander in the snow

Please, if possible, can you guys tell me what brand that spare wheel holder is on the silver 3dr Sport? I can't find a decent LR cover to fit 18'' wheels, and I really like the look of that. I would ask your neighbour willo but I'm not next door! Thank you.

    2004 td4 - 2006 td4 heated seats swap?

Hi guys. Well I have a 2004 TD4 also (Sport), which lacks heated seats/screen amongst other things. But I had a look to see if the wiring is intact but 'disabled' by LR fitting blanking plates. If not, then maybe danboy775 and I are in luck?! Why? Because, I wondered if too I could 'enable' my...

    2004 td4 - 2006 td4 heated seats swap?

Hi danboy775. Interesting question. I'll try and reply in the hope someone will correct me and then this may help. Lets presume the wiring is already there (sorry I don't know where to look or where to trace it to). Power Source: I am wondering if you'd need a high powered...

    Freelander suspension lift?

So using a 'lift kit' for a 30 mm dropped sport freelander or normal ride height version, means you ditch the original shocks and springs? Thus meaning a sport freelander with a lift kit is the same raised height as a non sport with a lift kit? Just want to check!

Never been a freelander lover......untill i saw this.

Looks really cool, took a look of work I'm sure.

    FreeLander 2.0 TD4 Sport Advice

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn182/pauln360/General/IMG_0885.jpg Awesome job on the bodywork, stunning actually. One thing I'm wondering is why the suspension is the same height as stock and not dropped like the Sport model? I say that as the vehicle is on 18's but has massive...

    Freelander in the snow

Can you floor the throttle on a very slippery surface to check the 4x4 is functioning and get someone to look outside for all wheels spinning? Snow tyres make a big difference, check the videos on youtube of before/after for proof. (There are guys on snow tyres in 4x4 in two feet of snow having...

recessed fog lights for a face lift...

Hi Mudcrawler. Trustystead's thread on fitting the lights is here with a good picture of the cut out on the front bumper and the finished article. The lights come on when full beam is activated, but can also be turned on/off using a new light switch that you mount in a new plastic plinth to...
