Hi Mudcrawler.
Trustystead's thread on fitting the lights is
here with a good picture of the cut out on the front bumper and the finished article.
The lights come on when full beam is activated, but can also be turned on/off using a new light switch that you mount in a new plastic plinth to the right hand side of the steering wheel (just above the drivers 'glove box').
There's room for two others switches in the new plinth (e.g. front and rear parking sensor on/off switches), if you chose to fit those at a later date.
All wires are supplied, it basically involves cutting sections out the front bumper, popping the lights in and connecting them to an existing cable.
Then you can get off the floor and go back to the engine/interior connecting the wires up inside the vehicle (or beforehand actually) using the old coat hanger wrapped with sticky tape method, to pull the cables from the engine bay down into the feet area of the vehicle. Pop the new switch unit on inside the car, and voila.
Instructions on how to do it are in the box, and also
online.
