    Thinking of buying a Vogue

Wow, that is very high praise indeed. I have spoken to 'er indoors and she said we can come up and look at the weekend. I dont mind coming all the way to Surrey. Its nice of you to offer to meet me halfway, but if I buy the car, you're left stranded! To be honest, the high praise was good...

    Thinking of buying a Vogue

The reason "I want a vogue" is because, of the three I've had personal experience of, they've all looked identical on the outside, interior trim has been the same (albeit a different colour in one of them) and they've all only had the words Range Rover and Vogue on the back. However wrong that...

    Thinking of buying a Vogue

Hi Everyone. Please forgive my ignorance here. I currently drive a freelander (and have done for nearly a decade) and there are only a few different ones out there to choose from. I wrongly assumed the Range Rover Vogue was a particular vehicle, not a range of vehicles. Why do I want a...

    Thinking of buying a Vogue

Due to budget, it will be the early L322, unless I can find a semi decent 2006-11 for under 6k.

    Thinking of buying a Vogue

I went into the local LR dealers to have a look at their used rangies and there was a vogue at the back of the lot, private plate so not sure what year it actually is, it seemed relatively new - within the last 5-8 years anyway. It didnt say anything like L322 on the back, just Vogue. I...

    Thinking of buying a Vogue

Hi I usually post over on the Freebie forum, but I'm seriously considering upgrading to a Rangie Vogue. Does anyone have any tips on what to watch out for when looking at one? Any mechanical stuff I should be wary of etc? Thanks Ian

Thanks Nodge. All the cars I've booked time to look at have now been sold so it looks like its back to the drawing board. Plenty of affordable cars up north but not many down here...

Freelander 1 Auto buying advice needed please!

Well I've just had a message from the seller that he has sold the one I was buying, for less than I was willing to pay... Found another one locally, but it says no compression on cylinder 5. Is this an easy fix?

Freelander 1 Auto buying advice needed please!

Thanks for all the replies - sorry I didnt answer sooner, I had a couple of days without internet as was having fibre installed. I'm not really bothered about economy as its being converted to LPG like mine anyway. Adding to that, my father thinks diesel is the stuff of the devil so it kinda...

Freelander 1 Auto buying advice needed please!

Hi I need to buy a Freebie 1 Auto for my disabled father who has just had his motability car taken away because the new rules means someone with only one leg is only "disadvantaged", not disabled. I've been driving a manual freebie 1 for years (and have posted about its woes here many times!)...

Freelander 1 Seat lifter-pushy-forward lever insides snapped/come loose

Hi Nodge Its the front passenger seat. In case it wasnt clear the first time, its the lever which allows the seat to pivot forwards and allow a passenger in the back.

Freelander 1 Seat lifter-pushy-forward lever insides snapped/come loose

Hi everyone I've just tried to put the front seat forward in advance of cleaning my car and heard a loud twang and now the lever does nothing. Can someone point me in the direction of how to remove the guts so I can try and fix it, or is it a lost cause and I need a new seat? Its a 2001...

    Freelander 1 Gearbox advice

Is there a way of easily checking this? I dont think RCV would make a mistake like this, their work has always been above perfect for me.

    Freelander 1 Gearbox advice

The gear stick moves as per normal if the engine is cold. There was some slight damage to the bracket when they gave it back to me, but I dont remember what it was. I do remember it was very small so I attributed it to damaged caused at the time and thought nothing more of it. I drove it...

    Freelander 1 Gearbox advice

It's not been changed since I've had it and I've done more than 60,000 miles. The actual mileage on the clock is just over 120,000 miles.

    Freelander 1 Gearbox advice

Apologies for the delay, my internet has been out of order...a nightmare for a self employed web designer... With the engine stopped (immediately after it occurs), it is still really stiff. However, once the engine is cold again, the gears change as normal. The clutch is the same whether it...
