Hi all general question, I was looking to upgrade from my 98 p 38 diesel auto, to a l322 but reading the forums, are the auto boxes so bad they generally give up at 80 to 110 k? Plus are the engines as bad as the forums seem, bad cranks, Think I'll stick with my ole p 38

My pins were rusted solid, biught an 18 inch thin chisel from local ironmonger £5.88 thin ish one, worked a treat.. Love the local ironmonger, sells tap washers individually, nuts and bolts to, loads cheaper than b and q etc as well

Nope all good now apart from the injector light flashing on deceleration but I can live with it

I had similar problem, did all you have and more. Took the crank sensor out, fitted substitute, no joy put old one back in. In desperation went back checked the pump output after the filter, all good, took filter off checked output, all good, screwed filter back on, she started injecting...

Um does that imply never trust a womans word, especially if she's your wife? Lol Thought I was on my own in that respect!

You might get lucky, like me and find that big battery cures a few electrical gremlins as well.

I had problems with no fuel, but my in tank was working. You need to see if the in tank pump is working OK

Yep plus one, bought a few mf 31 over the years off them, good people to deal with. Did have one a couple of years ago that went duff, had a print off, off Halford, emailed them it, next day new battery arrived and they collected the old one. Great service

When idling if I rev to 2000 release, lamp flashes on. She doesn't stall. If I rev to 3000 and or above release the lamp doesn't flash. When driving on road it doesn't flash probably the auto box and my driving. Nanacom says fuel flow out of range, major fault, intermitant

Solved Noticed around the fields it cuts out 2,75p,then 3000 no real consistency. Last time it cut out wouldn't restart, lifted bonnet and stop solenoid buzzing. Whacked it, started, got back to yard after 4 more cut outs. Changed the stop solenoid and so far no more cutting out. Thinking on...

I'm tempted to adjust the pump to 75 80 as the other two ranges. If so do I adjust the pump towards the engine or away?
