i had problems with mine one day it would start ,the next not , then be ok for a couple of days then fail to start again ,had everything checked all showed ok , about a week later i could smell sulphur opened the bonnet smoke pouring from the breather pipe on battery replaced it no more problems...

So would this mean then that a 2003 facelift could possibly have a different ECU version than that of a 2005/6 , is there a way of checking which version you have . Trev

mines a 2003 dec production but it is a facelift does this mean it would use a generic obd2 reader as Nodge68 suggests if not whats the difference between that and an 04 facelift , any info greatly appreciated. Trev.

Glad to here you are happy with it as it is ,as for misting windscreen mine did it and all it turned out to be was pollen filter absolutely filthy ,hope this helps .

looks like a seal of some sort ,where something would pass through into gearbox ,selector rods may be not 100% sure.

my 53 plate td4 does exactly the same ,has done for nearly 3 years but as i dont hold it at 2000 rpm that often it doesnt present that much of a problem as for surging with normal driving i hardly notice that now ,many people on here have changed allsorts of things and still have the same...

must have done ,i only asked you nodge68 to let us know how you get on and i get called an idiot , o well day can only get better i suppose .

my led sidelight bulbs have been in for about 18 months now and have been no trouble at all ,only cost me two quid for the pair as well (famous last words will probably pack up now ).

Hi personally i would put the same tyres back on the same rim and back on same axle if there is little difference in wear, then follow NoDosh s advice on rotating every 4-6k to even out wear .Dont forget to get balance checked aswell but if you mark valve position and use same tyre /rim it...

I think Nodge68 could well be right just been in mine ,2003 facelift and it doesn;t seem to do anything and can;t see anything in the handbook about it .

I use ring xenon ultima have done for a while they seem to be pretty good ,supposed to give 120% more light on road .
