The freebie sport premium I bought as a project to do up has just passed its MOT :):). When I got it had all lights on the dash, speedo and rev counter not working, no windows working, broken tailgate handle apoxied to the bloody paintwork, powerfold mirrors not working, masses of white smoke, knocking when driving and suspension issues.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone on the forum, both those who answered me directly and everyone else who has populated the forum with such excellent information.

A special thankyou to Nodge68, without your help I think I probably would've spent 100's on labour costs alone, shudder to think how much on unneeded parts lol.

Will

glad to here you got everything sorted ,now you just got to go out and enjoy it ,don;t know Nodge68 personally but he seems to be very knowledgeable and an all round good guy .

Well done Will, sounds like yours was even worse than mine so congratulations on getting her through. Now don't be a stupid B****r like me and buy another one. :p
On second thoughts do, look at all the fun you can have all over again. :D

Funny thing is this one was bought as a project, as my standard 2004 TD4 S has been so good with no major issues, aside from new clutch, fuel pump, brake servo, regulators (the usual). Drove my good working car and the MAF has gone bust and the ns CV needs replacing, so break time from the project and back to the original haha. Waiting for my new fuel tank cradle for the project anyways. Once I'm all done I'll put up a proper list of things done with some pics, I've just ordered a Synergy 2a and Android head unit so keeping busy.

My project is now my wifes daily driver while I sort out the clutch on the 04 car. Once it is sorted it will probably go back to being a DD. I have a funny feeling they might swap duties more than once.
