It's the drivers side that is blowing so will only need to remove that manifold to get a better look at it all. Mines a 2003 4.0 V8 auto

Yes I first thought it was the manifold leaking from the sound of it so bought new gaskets, bolts etc and y pipe gaskets to fit next Saturday. But during the week the sound completely changed to a train like noise on idle. I haven't taken it past 1500rpm but the noise changes to a much harsher...

Hi guys I need to change the manifold gasket on my 2004 4.0 V8 discovery. Wondering what the best type of gasket (multilayer steel or the compressed material type) would be? Also I'd like to replace all the bolts with upgraded studs/nuts or bolts. Any reccomendations please? Thanks. Tobias.
