L322 2006 TD6 Sitting on my drive - what to do........

Why Somebody would de-badge 'Range Rover' off the bonnet and tailgate is way beyond me.....??? The silver is nice but I'm Not a fan of the grill, side vents or black wheels. I prefer the one behind it in the first picture.... And most of it is out of sight :D. ;)

L322 Anyone want to watch an L322 burn?

Now why is that not a surprise....!

Sport Towing horse trailers. Please read and advise if you do this:

Looks very nice, IMO shame it doesn't have the cream leather (lots of the sports seem to have dark coloured leather!) Would contrast lovely with the black. What's wrong with the wheels.... Not big enough???? :p

    Sport Range Rover Sport.

I truly don't think anyone on this forum with a RRS will have those tyres fitted....but stand to be corrected. BFG AT's are generally well known on the whole as good tyres if not a tad on the pricey side. "Grabber" tyres are however a different tyre to BFG's....different manufacture. HTH

Sport Towing horse trailers. Please read and advise if you do this:

Not teaching you to suck eggs but check absolutely EVERYTHING works properly, play with the suspension, low range etc etc and take for a good 20+ mile drive if you can. I think bushes are a big thing on the RRS as is the D3 so check for knocks and noises over bumpy surfaces. MOT history check...

    L322 Coolant level

Have you tried changing the coolant ensuring you use the correct mixture?? Had same issue on my TD6, fitted new sensor to no avail, coolant level was fine in the reserviour, finally sussed out that it was due to not having enough 'antifreeze' mixture within the coolant. Faults never...

    Disco 2 Diff lock lamp

The switch for the diff lock is on top of the transfer box IIRC. There is no way coupling up the caravan could physically 'lock the CDL' so must be electric related. If you uncouple the electrics from the caravan does the CDL lamp go out?? I assume you gave the ABS TC and HDC amber lights on...

    D2 towing MPG

That sounds awful Peter! Makes our Merc trucks at work 12litre 6 pot derv's with a 30 tonne double deck trailer that average about 8/9 MPG Sound pretty economical!!

    Disco 2 Snorkel Removal

I removed mine when I had my D2 when the screen was replaced as they needed to take the putter A pillar cover off to remove/refit screen. If it has been fitted 'correctly' it will have been silicone/mastic sealed where the snorkel goes through the wing and into the air duct it meets the other...

Replacement battery for 2.7 td r/r/sport

;) No probs, not many RRS owners on here ;)

Replacement battery for 2.7 td r/r/sport

If no reply here.... Go into to discovery section and post....assume engine bay/battery location is the same as the D3?? All I will say about a new battery..... Get the highest AH and highest CCA you can possibly fit in.

    D2 towing MPG

^^^ What he says ^^^ it's never going to be great on fuel with a box on the back. EGR delete may improve things slightly (maybe 1 or 2 mpg) a remap may also help, but stock up on manifold studs ready!!!

Disco 2 Very tempted by a D2 v8 near me

Seems a little pricey to me TBH. If it's just had an expensive full service I would like to think it was in perfect running order?? Is it MOT'd?? Just give everything a good going over as you would with any car and good test run make sure everything works as it should and it doesn't overheat.

Other Question on an 02 4.4 Vouge

Nope I wouldn't, however it's just an advertising technique sellers sometimes use. They don't want you to click buy it now. It's like when somebody breaks a car and specifies all parts available but if you click buy it now (99p). You will receive 1 wheel nut.

Other Question on an 02 4.4 Vouge

Read the AD fully, price is for an 'inspection'. Looks like a legitimate company to moi....

Disco 2 Stig at the dump

My 2000 TD5 did it a couple of times over the few years I had it. Never bothered looked into why, just reset it and away you go.

    Hawkeye/faultmate

I've got a Hawkeye and allcomms for the L322. The hawkeye is great, can't re-caliberate suspension though. I had the first gen nanocom for my D2, it was good but very old fashioned/ slow to use/read. The later ones i'm sure would be better...?! HTH

Range Rover Sport TDV6 2007 problems

The first thing I would be checking is all the turbo /intercooler rubber hoses to check for splits/holes in of if they are perished. I'm not sure how accessible they are on the tdv6 though...
