    Roof bars that don't fit!

Yep, I hear you guys, this is the email I've just gotten back: ""Hello, Thank you for your email. I am sorry for the wording in the previous email. The side rails do not need to be factory fitted specifically. As per the items advert; This does not include side rails - this is designed for...

    Roof bars that don't fit!

I hear you on that, trouble is I think that is the 'correct' one as they see it. :(

    Roof bars that don't fit!

Evil bay has got me at it today! Just got some roof-bars through the post which included a nice roof-bag, all for £70 incl postage. Great deal. Item description said it was suitable for a defender 90/110 so I pulled the trigger and along it came. Opening the box for the roof bars I see the...

    I hear a knocking!

Has to be in neutral, while clutch is disengaged AFAIR. Haven't had it sounding while in gear whatsoever...

Finally got my 90, and it blew up on route home

Good luck hawky! When I bought my landy in Wales I had the RAC guru's inspect the thing top to bottom, full-on inspection. Cost me about £300, a little pricey but great piece of mind...

    I hear a knocking!

Get a knocking sound when coming to a halt at traffic lights IF I have the clutch out and gearbox into neutral (when coasting to a halt). With the clutch in it doesn't do it. Just wondering if this is a prelude to a greater problem, or if it's just a tweaky, glitchy minor thing I need to stop...

When the new defender comes out will you hang on to your old one?

What a lot of people don't understand is that the blueprint for Asian goods from 'the workshop of the world' - China will result in massive price increases as their middle-class grows and grows. When that happens the people who have been inured to cheap crap that requires replacing every 5...

When the new defender comes out will you hang on to your old one?

The regulations are not binding! There's nothing to stop anyone or anything following their stupid rules! The only country that 'plays by the rules' is Britain! The rest just ignore them, as guess what, nothing happens if you go your own way! CO2 emission's are a con job right from the start...

When the new defender comes out will you hang on to your old one?

+1! The Japanese started the trend of 'engine-out' in a workshop to work on them, it's something I really don't want to see any more of with the LR defender line.

    LPG conversion in Deisel??

I was wondering if they'd replaced the original 300 with a V8 then done the conversion to LPG. But the advert seems to suggest otherwise...

    LPG conversion in Deisel??

Thought this was only possible in petrol engines... But according to this advert 300 TD engines can be as well! 1986 Land Rover Defender 90 300 TDI GAS CONVERTED Is this a windup or has there been further developments in LPG technology??

When the new defender comes out will you hang on to your old one?

They certainly will, as it's much of a muchness if they are working on the new-new style or the old-school workhouse that get's the job done :)

When the new defender comes out will you hang on to your old one?

Just wondering if there's going to be a movement of us keeping our old defenders as long as possible. Word is that Land Rover will keep the old defender model going as a commercial vehicle, that way they keep the farmer folk etc happy. Maybe if the EU regulations are ignored for a change...

My 300 TD Engine has a TD5 Oil Filter!

Just changing the oil filter on my lannie. I went to the nearby parts shop to get a new one. I have a 300 TD Engine fitted to a 2001 Defender 110. Well the one he had in his book would not fit it! I had to get a TD5 one - PH5889. This is the same as the one I\'d just removed. Is this...

Not so, that's like saying, if someone's going to rape/murder you, they'll have you. You make your precautions and plans, then let the scum take their chances ;)
