    Coolant leak

Mine leaked from the head gasket, and sprayed out onto the exhaust manifold when the engine was hot!

    Dash bulbs?

Have a bulb out on my temp gauge, so planning on replacing them all with LEDs. Would I be correct in saying they are normal 501 capless bulbs, albeit, a lower wattage? 52 plate TD4 :)

TD4 bad noises after turbo replacemeant

I had a customers TD4 in a while back, that used to crack and bang at high revs. Long story short, it was the rail pressure sensor/wiring loom playing up

    Freelander 1.8 Turbo

They are, and I have a spare rad pack from an old TD4 I broke a few months back. However, the rad sits 2-3 inches further forward on the 1.8, than the TD4. If I were to move the rad back those 3 inches, the turbo would be pressing into the radiator. No. Just no. :p Bumper will be attacked...

    Setting up the timing marks

Either way makes no difference. The crank turns twice, for every 1 turn of the cams. So both ways are correct for doing the belt. The photograph is correct for removing the cylinder head, as it prevents the cams from having to be turned

    Freelander 1.8 Turbo

I did have that idea too. The V6 bumper does look a bit longer at the top, which would possibly help the issue. However, I can't seem to find any 2nd hand V6 bumpers up this way... The facelift front end is another option, but would then need new headlights etc, which I don't really want to do...

    Freelander 1.8 Turbo

Some practical solutions needed, which were encountered yesterday... Fitted a TD4 intercooler, but the K-series rad sits further forward than the TD4, so now the bumper doesn't fit. Options are modify the bumper (which may end up looking ****) Move the radiator back, but would then need the...

    K series 1.8 fuel economy

Kickdown on a 1.8? I do wonder what the economy will be like once I have my 1.8 turbo up and running. Not that it matters :D

    TD4 leak back query

If it's not injector related, it sounds very similar to one I had, which needed an HPFP in the end

    Freelander 1.8 Turbo

This one will. Have seen a couple converted to front wheel drive, which defeats the purpose of doing it to a Freelander. Though those have all used the T series lump, instead of the K series. The bell housing is different, so people use the Rover gearbox, which doesn't accept the IRD.

    Freelander 1.8 Turbo

Fancied doing it for years, but never had the spare cash. This is Freelander number 13 for me :D Going to be run as a company demo, so would like to do something different with it. Seemed like a perfect opportunity :)
