Your regulator has worn teeth at the end of its arc. Not really practical to repair. Can be replaced with good used off the bay, or new.

As you've been digging around at the tank end, it's probably the tank solenoid not operating. Maybe a connector pulled off or solenoid physically damaged?

Different inertia switches for the bags Wazzajnr. Early cars had them mounted above crash cans, later were (IIRC) in centre console or might even have been incorporated into ECU.

Except of course Peter, the inertia switch is behind the RH kick panel in the P38 and thus behind the locked doors!

The problem with all these nylon lined cables is that once water gets between the steel outer cable and the nylon liner, rust sets in and squeezes the nylon sheath onto the cable. If that happens even a forced lube won't solve the problem for long. Time you've splashed out £20 on a hydraulic...

I have an SGS 3T low profile trolley jack. No way could it be described as unstable, or small, come to that. Owned it for about 18 months, used, daily. No deterioration in performance in that time.

Nope- appropriate LED bulbs (2000 lumens plus) are now MOT compliant as long as vehicle has self levelling lights (or suspension!) and is equipped with working washers. Must comply with beam scatter and cutoff rules as well as alignment as per standard bulbs.

Yeah- the rubber seal was a problem, as I fed back to them. Their suggestion in the initial instructions/ video didn't work in terms of keeping out cr@p and also masked the heat sink! I did send them pics of the mod I did to the rubber shield that addressed both of those issues. Don't know if...

I've been through the whole range (!) of bulb options on mine. My issue was that, with ageing eyeballs, dipped beam illumination around the rural lanes that I mainly use, just didn't seem to have the throw that I wanted. I upgraded to Nightbreakers, which were better, but I still wanted more...
