P38A Passive Immobilisation & the Ignition Barrel Light

Just to settle this discussion, the key illumination light is not controlled/ configurable within the BECM or tied to Passive Immobilisation. It's on the same circuit as the footwell lamps, so, in the case of the OP, it's a blown bulb or poor connection.

    P38A Coil packs

You could test coil resistance : Resistance measurements of the primary and secondary sides of the ignition coils can be performed using a suitable multimeter. Default values are: • Nominal primary coil resistance (up to 99MY) = 0.8 ohms • Nominal primary coil resistance (from 99MY) = 0.5 ohms...

P38A Cleaning engine oil cooler (inside)

That stuff used on 2 stroke exhausts was Caustic Soda. Use that and it would dissolve contaminants beautifully. Would also have the unwelcome side effect of dissolving any aluminium in the oil cooler rad and fittings- which is the entire cooler! An Acetone wash out would be my suggestion

    P38A Strange burning smell

Double check to see that you got the belt correctly seated on the pulleys. The grooved ones have an outer flange. If you've got the belt with its lip over one of those flanges, it'll go round and do all of its belt stuff, right up to the time when the lip has cut the edge off the belt

    P38 key stuck in door

The door latch mechanism is completely separate from the handle- connections between the two are by rods- one for key turns, one for latch. No reason why you can't get the handle out with the key in it.

I think it depends on the propane/ butane mix Propane -42C Butane -2C I can't remember what temp it comes out of vapouriser at though

    It's A Gas...

Could be just a "thing". I don't know the electronics for your system, but it could be that, like a lot of ECU's, once a fault code is stored, you have to clear it off. Do you have the interface cable and software for your system?

    It's A Gas...

You won't freeze anything in the liquid stage unless you're planning on taking the car into outer space, and everything prior to the vapouriser is liquid. -160C is the freezing point, give or take the odd degree.

    P38A Viscous coupling

No, it's the sign of a working coupling. It all depends on "relatively" though. Here's the definitive Ashcrofts test: 1) Secure the output shaft ... 2) Apply a clockwise torque of 27 Nm to the (front propshaft) output flange nut. If no resistance to turn is felt, unit requires replacing. 3) If...
