Get your gas level checked first. If there's no gas then you won't get any pressure. I don't know if Kwik Fit still do their 'no fix no fee' gassing service.

The internals are very close to the case edge. Are you certain that you haven't damaged them cutting them out of the old case. Does the LED flash when you press a button. If not you might have damaged a battery contact.
