Quick question. I've got a defender 90 300tdi. I had to change the front calipers as they were shagged. I put new ones on and also changed the master. I've bled them and seems to be no air in the system. Drove it for a month or so absolutely fine. A day later the problem started happening. Sometimes after a ten minute drive they go straight to the floor and I'm UN able to pump them up but if I was to leave it for 20/30 seconds it's at the top like it should be. Some times it happens but sometimes it doesn't. I've bled them more times than I've be had hot dinners....the problems still there. No leaks no nothing. NEED HELP ASAP !!! thanks in advance

Have you had wheels off to check for leaks. My first thought would have been the master cylinder but you have changed it

Yes I've even cleaned everything and then wedged the pedal and left it for a while to Check for leaks but still nothing

I had same with series two and couldn't find the leak it turned out to be the brake cylinder but only found it after a week when it finally Started to **** fluid

Got to be the master cylinder. Did you just change the seals or the whole thing? I'm told that sometimes new seals won't fix it as the bore has worn. I'd start there if you have no leaks.
I changed the whole thing not just the seals

Had this on a Maestro - intermittent leak of the vacuum in the servo. Worth a look.

Had the same on a Merc Sprinter, even Merc (and i don't mean the dealer) couldn't fault it. Ended up rear-ending a Customs & Excise covert surveillance vehicle, boot full of secret gear.
The fertilizer hit the windmill and it cost Merc mega bucks.
