I have built a test rig in the garage for testing EAS systems off the car. It has a p38 air tank on it. I have found that just filling the tank with a newly rebuilt compressor takes about 7 minutes. Fitted to the car and filling the air bags as well as filling the tank would take longer.

You could fit an Allisport intercooler for the p38. Big power increase combined with the right chip. Well made and relatively easy to fit. Occasionally come up cheap on Ebay.

The factory shockers were actually sourced from several different suppliers over the years. My 2000 DSE came fitted with Boges as standard. I have though replaced the front ones with new Boges and can recommend the ride.
