Disco 1 started engine with torque wrench on crankshaft pulley

Check the crank shaft pulley bolt as what you describe is is a sure fire way of loosening it.

What have you done to your Landie today.

Not today, but I spent yesterday at Slab Common, had a great day but not without some problems. Got stuck a few times, second time it was in water, just high enough to come inside (wife is now going mad about smelly wet carpet blar blar blar). Also bent one of my ally wheels on a tree root, but...

Disco 1 300 TDI Manifold Gasket

Check the exhaust manifold, I changed two gasket's on mine before I found that the face of the center ports on the manifold was rusting and not flat. A quick going over with the sander and it's been fine since.

    P38A Holland and Holland anyone?

The owner of my company has H&H P38, complete with the guns (removed when not shooting). Although it's not in mint condition as it was his daily drive until last year. I've driven it, but only once.

Series 3 My Series 3 restoration

Good work so far Jack, keep the updates coming as we all like a good build thread. Not many lads your age wood go for a landy, let alone a series. On the plus side you'll never get a speeding ticket in it and non of your mates will have such a cool car.

It's that time of year again

I got a pass, they verbally advised that the N/S/R body mount has corrosion but it wasn't bad enough to write down. So not a bad result. How did you get on ?

It's that time of year again

MOT time ! The 300tdi went through with no work last year, so it's bound to need something this year, but how much.

    300tdi Project Disco

There's something strange in that water, you go in a good looking blond and come out all David Bellamy.

    Deep Service And Running Sluggish

Change the fuel filter, this is quite likely to be why it's not revving over 2.5k, running on veg can cause this. It's also worth checking the injection pump timing, as this can also cause bad running.

    Greenlaning nr Guildford?

When you say "almost is in working order" I assume it's running and driving, lets face it, if you meant almost everything works we wouldn't believe you. If you fancy some light P&P (mainly sandy and loads to do without braking anything) http://forum.tv4x4.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=12741 I'll be...

    Aaron's 90 rebuild (Round 2)

As long as you're not going to sell it before you get chance to drive and enjoy it. That would be a real shame.

    Aaron's 90 rebuild (Round 2)

Will you be getting the Cummings one finished and on the road before work starts in earnest on this one ?
