    one thing though, iirc with brightwells it is the buyer that pays most of the sale commission on top of what they pay for the car. seller pays entry fees up front and some of the commission on sale or rather what they get sent is sale price less their share of the commission.

    the ved and mot exemption must be worth something of a premium, even at £2,300 you would save that in 8 years. if you have the time and the skill the cost of metal can't be that much. and if the engine and drivetrain are ok (which they probably aren't) cost of your time, well…………... :D

    metro mayfair went for £2016 restored rrc didn't sell nor did the 110 prototype, the rrc projects went for between £1,800 and £2,300 not bad prices if you have the skills to get them back on the road imho

    I always carry a 12v jump starter, if the worst comes to the worst you can always use it in place of your battery to get home.

    gb springs but I think they only do parabolic, could try dunsfold only ones I can think of that might have nos originals
