When your Nans partner had a fiddle with it, he didn't upset the timing did he? I know you said he adjusted the mixture.... but just wondering.

I don’t think so. It was running slow anyway, he restores classics for a living so I somewhat trust him :)

It’s all good now. Maybe running a little fast but I’m going to pop over and we will clean the carb and adjust it all this week. Friday maybe. Hopefully.

Might I suggest, you convert to electronic ignition, I did and haven't regretted it. Prevents all that apprehension about points settings and health of the condenser.

I always carry a 12v jump starter, if the worst comes to the worst you can always use it in place of your battery to get home.

I have one. It was at half charge too and has jumped the landy a few times. I did what normally do. It wouldn’t start, same with handle. Which is why I was confused about the handle not working.

Towed it back to the farm and my Nan wheeled out an industrial jumper she used to use on her trucks. Charged it a bit, then it jumped and started a treat.

Weird. Maybe my jumper is just being a pansy. Still odd I couldn’t start it on the handle, I was doing it for months before I fixed the starter. So it’s not me
