If the vcu is tight it will cause more strain on the drive train. But it generally won't cause the clutch to slip.

I think you have an electrical fault.............. But unfortunately my balls are hairy not crystal so as to where the fault might lay, I would have to say that the best person to answer that is an auto electrician who is actually looking at the vehicle! The reverse switch sounds like it...

Used the cheap eBay mgf one. I thought the self cancelling want going to work as the wheel didn't reach the pegs. But the clock spring actuates the canceler.

After I have been a good boy all year santa brought me some nice pressies! One of the m was a steering wheel boss. So it was duly fitted along with my Momo steering wheel. Lovely! Now I am in the process of modifiyniing my light bar to suit the new lamps I also got!
