Disco 1 Lost drive to rear wheels

Hi guys, I was offroading earlier today, and I went up a steep incline and there was a loud bang - i assumed it was something hitting the floor. I got out and had a look and everything seemed fine - i then realised I only had drive to the front wheels. How can I diagnose if it's half shaft or...

    Reversing lights

Any LED reversing bulbs will be loads better than the standard ones - only a few quid, too. The alternative is to fit a flood light on the rear, wired in to the reverse light. Or both... :) Foz

You've done a great deal of work there - have you seen noticable improvement? I like the idea of a coolant level sensor, might have to look in to that myself. Foz

After seaking advice on here regarding waterproofing a cable for a rear flood light, I fitted the light today. I went for a stuffing gland. Hole drilled through the body. There is usually a grommet in this hole, I took this out and widened the hole for better access. The problem was...

Watertight cabling for rear work light

I did have a look on their website but I can't find a M12 gland with a long thread, anything over 10mm. You've just introduced me to a "Carbide bur" though - so i'll buy one of those, that should sort it. Thank you!

Watertight cabling for rear work light

That's a shame. That was my first thought, but there is actually a third skin on the inside - it has a hole about an inch big but my new hole isn't directly in front of this hole, so I can't get a drill in there. Might have to just spend ages filing it down.

Watertight cabling for rear work light

I got hold of some stuffing glands. I drilled a hole at the rear, but it has 2 skins of body work with about a 10mm gap between them - the thread on the gland doesn't reach so i can't secure it. Can you get stuffing glands with long threads? I had a look but can't seem to find any. Is there...
