Guys, has anyone put any aftermarket reversing lights on their disco, as mine are about as much use as a candle blowing I the wind
I'm not after anything outrageous,
Any pics would be good
Cheers

Any LED reversing bulbs will be loads better than the standard ones - only a few quid, too.

The alternative is to fit a flood light on the rear, wired in to the reverse light.

Or both... :)

The amount of llght from reversing lights is standard as is only an indication of a vehicle reversing.

So as above, fitting LEDs may make the light output brighter but light is still restricted by the disco's light fitting, fit an under bumper flood light if you have issues in the dark reversing.
Same as done on vehicles without reversing lights. Simples.

I wasn't impressed with the standard reversing lights either, nor was I with LEDs to be frank. I did bite the expense bullet and fitted Cree LEDs and they do make quite a difference. The only trouble I've found with them is that they create a bit of radio interference, but only when reversing. But as discool says, in law they're really nothing more than an indication to others that you've engaged reverse gear, they were never intended to be backward facing headlights.

I've put a pair of LED worklights on the rear roof bar.

Not wired in yet (a job for a dry day!) but am going for a switch on the dashboard so that if I need a bit of extra light when reversing I can turn them on and light up the area behind me.
