Another problem with the loom that came with the engine I bought. Not only are the connectors for the EGR modulator missing, but there are also two multiplugs missing that connect to the engine compartment fusebox. Shown above. What are these for and are they essential?

I can imagine them being very expensive. Perhaps Britpart make an alternative.

I doubt many owners will be well versed in who manufactured the airbags. Safety isn't high on most peoples agenda. Sorry that I can't offer any info.

Some of the cheaper complete units have had some bad feedback. I am hoping Bosch will be trustworthy.

I bought the Bosch regulator and the gasket/o ring kit separately. Saved a lot. It was easy to fit for me as the engine was on a stand.

Been inserting pin removal tools but have had no luck so far. I will have a resrt and try again tomorrow.

It suddenly dawned on me that the compressor that came with the replacement engine was still in the garage. When I checked, the plug was still in the socket. Thanks.

I need to try and source a plug that connects to the air-con multi socket on a td5. The plug is female and is on the wiring loom and looks like like this - The socket on the compressor looks like this -

Bolted up the radiator and intercooler, horns and front grille. Fitted the serpentine belt and front prop-shaft. Bled the clutch.

I notice there are different kits. I suppose I will need one with blanking plates for the egr cooler.

I was told it was from a discovery. Are defenders EGR set ups different?

Would it be simpler to fit one of these and forget about that part of the wiring altogether? Are they easy to fit?

I have a replacement 15p TD5 engine mounted to the gearbox and chassis of my 2003 discovery TD5. Aircon but no ACE. The original wiring loom had connectors which fitted on the EGR solenoid but the wiring loom with the replacement engine doesn't. Do I ignore this or fit my original loom?

Dry but cold today so finished mating the engine and gearbox. It mus be luxurious to be able to do these tasks under cover with heating.

Yes. Just two bolts and a nut. Its the nut that generates posts.
