Wiring loom advice needed, please.

I have a replacement 15p TD5 engine mounted to the gearbox and chassis of my 2003 discovery TD5. Aircon but no ACE. The original wiring loom had connectors which fitted on the EGR solenoid but the wiring loom with the replacement engine doesn't. Do I ignore this or fit my original loom?

Would it be simpler to fit one of these and forget about that part of the wiring altogether? Are they easy to fit?

Could it be that the replacement engine came from a Defender?

I was told it was from a discovery. Are defenders EGR set ups different?

The EGR connectors are needed only if you want to keep the EGR running, as long as you get rid of the EGR you can use any harness

Thats good to know. I will order an EGR delete kit. They look relatively straight forward to fit, hopefully. Thanks.

If you've kept the engine cover it'll help you possibly get away with it, come MOT time.

I notice there are different kits. I suppose I will need one with blanking plates for the egr cooler.
