Hi All, I'm looking for a pair of reasonably priced left hand drive headlights for my 98 Discovery 1. Ideally the 300TDI lights are what I'm after but I believe that the early TD5 Discovery 2 lights will fit so I'd be equally as happy with a pair of those. Regards Ray.

Have I misunderstood something? I thought that the second digit in the vin denoted the market the vehicle was produced for, so in this case being an A meaning UK.

Maybe it's something to do with the bellhousing, I don't know or pretend to but I'm sure someone will.

From my understanding the ninth digit in the vin denotes the gearbox and in this case it is an 8 which is LT77 left hand drive.

A few years ago I had a similar issue with my old 200tdi, that had a manual gearbox so not so much of a problem but it had me guessing for a long while, if I remember correctly it was caused by a leaking hose on the vacuum pump.
