Other what have u done on ur disco today

Been replacing drivers side steering ball joints. Getting the ball joints out and in wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going be. Very nice. I would modernize it with things like heated seats, electric windows central locking but keep it mostly standard looking on the outside.

Exmoor Trim slimline steering wheel boss fitting

Gently tap pins into the holes the steering wheel torque is 38Nm for standard steering wheel so 43Nm is obviously to suit the Boss. The torque for the 6 bolts would depend on what size and thread they are.

    Boomslang Lighting Harness

I've got one but not fitted as it is short and needs some extra wire soldering in to reach the battery. Will be fitting it in a week or so once I have more time as the results do look impressive.

    Clutch gone darn it!

If you removed the seatbox as well then you'd have tons of room. A engine hoist would be best to move the gearbox back and hold it steady also put a support under the stump to stop engine tipping back when you remove the gearbox.

300tdi Defender ticking noise (not from engine bay)

It's possible theres a crack that only becomes obvious due to the thermal expansion of the metal as it gets hot. May also be a bearing being effected and becoming noisy as it gets hot. The old school way to check things would be long screw driver place the blade on certain areas i.e lift...

300tdi Defender ticking noise (not from engine bay)

Try holding hand over exhaust tailpipe to block it (Short time only) whilst someone listens for leak from exhaust system. Also check all air intake connections are also secure could be air being drawn in from a loose intake pipe.
