Series 2 Ideas needed to remove stuck window frame from door

They are prone to being seized by rust, long term best option to replace altogether.

    A question of vanity

I’ve found it impossible to source the one’s you’re referring to. They’re unobtainable. I opted for the plain version.

Series 3 seatbelts: where are yours?

That’s a non standard solution. Hard top fixings are on the bulkhead between the doors and the window. The safety belt bracket is then on the tub capping outside and not the rear bulkhead.

Series 3 Interest: Fibreglass dash boards

Sounds bonkers and not standard. All things are restorable in today’s world why bugger up a classic vehicle with a non standard modification.

    Series 3 Blower moter

You can still purchase the electric motor; check Paddock/ Craddock, they’re expensive but original. The unobtainable part is the snail housing which circulates the air from the air intake across the heater matrix. There’s a contact on this site who can supply the correct patented part all...

Source for rubber stuff that lasts more than a month

Disappointing to hear Bearmach parts are like Sheiteparts. Maybe too long shelf life. When you buy the seller has to confirm the origin of the product. If it’s not OEM you have to query. I’ve had similar problems with S3 exhaust systems; cheap crap made in India.

Series 2 Seals to roof and sides

A very open question and my reply is very late, hopefully nobody lost fingers if you’ve got it on. For the purpose of a reply I’ll assume that it’s a hard top. There’s two rubber seals, one along the front windscreen and the other around the rear tub. If you don’t have the latter don’t put it...

    Compression and plugs

Why have put a K & N filter? They allow too much free flow of air. Back pressure in the fuel system is important for ignition. As already posted change plugs and if you’ve still got the original oil filter get it back in. K & N filters are cheesy enhancements for 60’s and 70’s sports cars. They...

    Series 3 2WD High trouble

Try driving it for a short distance, it’s sized and as posted is the yellow lever springing back? Get under the gearbox and get some WD in there.

Can you adjust steering wheel height?

There’s no magic here. If it was adjustable it would be self evident like modern vehicles. This is a vehicle from another era, it doesn’t have steering wheel adjustment. The driving position in a series is sometimes described as sitting in a church pew, very upright with the arms at half way...

And don’t drive around you’ll wreck the transmission.

    Series 3 109 Hardtop

There’s no specific instructions to put on a hardtop if I read your message correctly. You can figure it out if you get hold of the parts list and workshop manual, if it’s been fixed for many years it’ll be a right bigger , the corner fixings will be corroded/ seized. It’s pretty straight...

Bodywork refresh - now it won't fit properly!

That’s seriously out. You need to check the chassis dimension and body fixings.Fettling won’t solve that alignment issue, something needs to be adjusted elsewhere.

Help me landyzone... your my only hope!

Smoking distributor suggests shorting. Double check how the points are installed. It’s quite easy to get it wrong. Ensure that the retaining lug is insulated and not shorting; it needs to have the nylon insulation in the correct place.

Check the live connection into the alternator (disconnect the battery first it’s always live). The small wire from the solenoid to the alternator.
