Mine has done it before, like I say if it stays on, hook it up to diags and it'll tell you what's wrong with it. Ask nicely and someone in your area might even have one you can borrow for the price of cake and a brew.

Turn it off, turn it on again - works every time for me! Usually it's a wheel sensor that's faulty and that throws up the fault. No other lights on the dash by any chance? Get it on diags and see what error code it brings up.

Isn't there a rule about the vehicle having to have a certain amount of the historic features still intact to qualify for being tax exempt? Might struggle to convince them with that one!

Many threads on this subject already and many different opinions. Personally I stripped mine back to bare metal, 2 thick coats of Hammerite then 2 coats of waxoyl over the top. Renew waxoyl annually. Make sure you get plenty of paint/waxoyl/whatever inside your chassis as well

Thanks srtgray, id seen about fitting the side plates to the chassis first. I'll give it a bash when funds permit a winch, assuming i don't find something else in the interim I find I want to fit!

I've been looking at the discreet winch mount from Urban Panzers site Discovery2 which I believe is this winch plate (Winch Plate for Discovery 2 - Mail Order 4X4) Does anyone know if these also fit the facelift TD5? If so does the installation change dramatically? Can't find any information...
