Thanks for the heads up SpacePig, perhaps the rings were on their way out already. Was it easy to replace the O rings, or did you need to replace the unit? When I depressurised mine, I pressed the pedal gently, but maybe my O rings are now knackered.

At first I thought that fluid from the old pipe eventualy dripped from the chassis onto the driveway. Yes, i'm aware that more pressure will be delivered to the callipers, but the pipes are not leaking from the joins at all and I followed the bleeding instructions as per the Rave manual...

I did the two rear pipes from front to both rear wheels, not difficult but feeding the pipe from front to N/S/R was a right PITA, (should have done it in sections using unions) especially when it's 30 degrees outside :)

Usually there is a leak sealer within the gas which is supposed to lubricate/seal O rings. As for the bubbles, it might just be residual gas just after you filled it. You could take the cover off and squirt some soapy water on the valve to see if the bubbles are still there. Not sure if you...

Sounds like a vacuum noise for what I can hear. I take it you have checked all inlet manifold hoses. I would be toying with the idea of spraying a little WD on the pulley's to see if the noise goes away, if so it may be a bearing on the way out.
