    Getting the band back together.

You mean the slimy, slippery, chalky steps we failed to climb last time out? Because I'm keen not to be defeated a second time!

Everyone has to start somewhere and it's not a bad idea to head out with some more experienced hands!

    Paint advice please

Thanks for that, a very informative thread. Yeah I remember asking you about it the first Surrey trip, couldn't remember what sort of paint you'd used though!

    Paint advice please

I expect this has been done to death but I'm finding so much conflicting advice! I'm intending on painting my 90, I don't have access to a posh spray booth or a compressor/hvlp gun so I have 2 options, which is best- foam roller or I have a cheap ebay special electric sprayer of the fence...

Campsite attached to nice country pub would be my preference!

I've dipped a toe on the plains too but defo want more, would be up for camping but I wouldn't want to wild camp on the plain, not on the MOD land at any rate, was gonna float the idea of a long weekend up north at some point too, do a day of lakes and a day of dales or something.

    Insurance

I'm with A-Plan, seemed quite reasonable, just over £200 with modifications declared. Was with Flux Direct, wouldn't recommend them to anyone!

Yeah I noticed that too, I tend to go off Trailwise and the 1:25K map (and check the council tro list) and check the 1:50K if anything looks odd!

The red section from the minor road at 745278 to the T junction where the red and brown sections of Old Litten Lane meet at 741273 (The section of Old Litten Lane heading east from that point i subject to a TRO.)

It would appear that lane that defeated up doesn't have a name, it's a BOAT that links Cottage Lane to the open section of Old Litten Lane. It climbs up Wheatham Hill. I've added usage on Trailwise with a recommendation to go down hill, feel free do do the same, I'll add usage for all the lanes...

I don't off the top of my head but I can find out, you have to be a member of glass/trf/treadlightly to access trailwise, but that in itself is worth the membership fee!

    Bonnet frozen shut

Solved. Thanks all, grill off, bonnet open and a combination of hot water on the sheath and wd40. Prob a new throttle cable in order but at least its functional now!

    Bonnet frozen shut

Thanks all, I shall pop back home in a bit armed with a hairdryer, some WD40 and a big screwdriver!
  16. DaveyGTi

    Bonnet frozen shut

Yeah as above I dunno if I can get at it, if its just the catch that's frozen that should work but I'm wondering if the cable has moisture in and is frozen to the sheath
  17. DaveyGTi

    Bonnet frozen shut

Yeah that was my first idea, not sure I can get at it though, the handle in the cab is by my left knee and it runs through the bulkhead from there, rest of it is under the bonnet.

    Bonnet frozen shut

OK so I went to take my truck up to the garage this morning for some new tyres, get in, discover the throttle is stuck, apply a bit of pressure and it goes down and stays down and won't come back up, "oh bugger its frozen" were my first thoughts, so I go to open the bonnet to free it up a bit...
