I think I've got the same problem, I tried replacing the clutch switch which helped for a while, but noticed its come back recently.

Disco failed its MOT today, but was no mention of the marker lights, my local garage seems quite thorough as they find all kind of things,so they must have thought they were alright bring lit.

Happy to put the theory to the test...;)

Hi, The disco is going in for it's MOT in a few weeks and I've just noticed that the side light comes on in the headlamp on the n/s and the top of the indicator lens on the o/s.Any ideas what's causing it? Thanks

It runs through a grommet in the inner wing a few inches after the connection,then follows the brake flexi.

I've got an ES and it's connected, think this is the one you mean? Its connected to something by the n/s front caliper.
