Hi, I have a small diesel leak (P38), that runs down and drips from sump plug. Felt around as much as possible found nothing. Looking under bonnet from passenger side can see wet about halfway down engine. Starting also becoming difficult. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

You will have to enter EKA. Some tips 1 Ensure your battery is fully charged, it is possible to pull bonnet release cable from under car or located behind grill if needed. 2 Enter EKA but dont keep trying, if it doesnt work 1st time go and have a cuppa then try again, but if you keep trying the...

If I were you I would try to avoid frustration and not break any glass as this may get you nowhere. Turning key to unlock drivers door whilst opnening tailgate is possible resolution.Also entering EKA before trying this Maybe a few more details of situation would help to answer problem.

However will help anyone with similar situation when superlocked out. But dont want all the P38's to suddenly go missing, although would then become rare and poss more valuable.

The story goes.... I went to open drivers door when it was locked but ended up pulling the handle off door leaving only lock behind. I received new handle and set to replacing, got interupted, put old broken one back temporarily but did not re conect clip on rod operating lock so rod came off...

Thanks for suggestions, But spare key fob has same problem and will not unlock either so would assume problem is something other than fob re-furb.

ok Message doesn't show key in ignition, so dont think that is problem. Red light on fob lights up when locking and locks no probs, but shows nothing when trying to unlock and will not unlock untill key is in ignition.

Hi All, 2000 P38 Does anyone know how to resolve Key fob not unlocking doors, but will lock doors. Key fob will only unlock all doors when it is in ignition after message says to press remote.

A couple of weeks ago the receiver for remote kept waking up and I had to have ECU (i think) code reset. Do you think this is likely again and how can I fix, although car would crank before but just not fire now i have nothing.

Hi, Key fob is not responding on 2000 p38, I opened door with key in lock and put key in ignition, but got nothing car is dead no dash display. Replaced fob batteries, got red signal on fob when pressed, have tried emergency code but still nothing. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks marky.

Thanks, But this has completely discharged overnight, maybe a new battery will have same problem untill I establish why it went flat.
