    Subaru EJ22 Engine (Non-turbo)

Hi guys, I'm looking for the above engine for my next project... a HOVERWING! Wacky indeed... If anyone has any info on where to find these rare engines or legacy/outback/impreza pre 2000 cars that they were used in, please let me know as there isn't much for sale that I can find! Cheers! Ollie

    MK 4 Sat Nav

The sunroof drains, the tailgate seal and the roof rail securing holes can all add to water ingress in the boot - so if you find that your rear quarter and/or carpet in the main floor section of the boot is still damp, then it is likely one of these other 2 issues could be the cause also. The...

    MK 4 Sat Nav

Hi Dirk, Firstly, I hope when you put it back together it works and will save you purchasing a new unit - water ingress in the rear quarter certainly is not uncommon! if however you are not so lucky I will keep you in mind when I come to sell my mk 3 (which yes, is in good working order.)...

    100" Tomcat info?

They do have complete ones for sale but I don't have the cash available to throw at it in one go, plus I enjoy a good project and would like to use the chassis which I stripped down and V8 which is sitting on a stand ready to be tinkered with. I felt bad pulling the disco apart so at least this...

    heated windscreen

I have this issue too! Although I do find it bizarre that both elements would both fail - will do some testing tomorrow. Number 1 on the list is to fit a new front R/H caliper... Land Rovers - they are a constant headache, yet undeniably loveable...

    100" Tomcat info?

Lol I will keep that in mind, I think if I do go down the route of this kit, you may have to send the chassis to the company to attach the frame - it's things like that I need to know so I can see what my options are for keeping costs to a minimum because it ain't cheap lol. As for the price of...

    100" Tomcat info?

Tomcat Motorsport - 100" Tomcat Anyone have any experience of these kits? Would be quite nice to turn my Disco 1 into one of these - it's currently a bare chassis atm - hoping to get it cleaned up and galv dipped. Not too sure how galvanising the chassis would affect one of these kits being...

    MK 4 Sat Nav

Looking to replace my mk 3 sat nav - had a look about on eBay but not sure I want to trust the punters incase I splash out for a faulty item. So I'd much rather give someone respectable (a user of this forum! :p) the cash for it! I'm willing to pay approx £200 + postage. Cheers, Ollie

    M62 4.4 Economy Re-map/chip?

You are clearly far too sensible ;-) :p

    M62 4.4 Economy Re-map/chip?

I'd get 15 too if I didn't live up a bloody big hill!! :P PS - driver's door latch is slack I think - anyone know where to buy a replacement? Occasionally lock doesnt come all the way up, and when it does, pulling the handle occasionally results in no unlatching of the door lol! :rolleyes...

    M62 4.4 Economy Re-map/chip?

Don't worry I didn't get the V8 to save any cash! ;) I'm just interested in the idea of being able to fiddle around (safely!) with the engine ECU and if I ever succeed at this my priority will be getting the V8 from 14mpg to the mighty heights of ....15!! :p

    M62 4.4 Economy Re-map/chip?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows of any economy boosting (not worried about power/torque) remaps for the above engine, or chips available (although I read somewhere that the engine can only be reprogrammed by serial input rather than replacing the whole ECU chip?). Also, does anyone know...

    Spark Plug socket

So, even a simple job like changing the spark plugs is difficult! I have looked everywhere, tried many, but I cannot find a spark plug socket with a thin enough wall to remove the plugs. It's the M62 4.4 V8 - anyone who has one of these wafer thin sockets, please point me in the right direction...

    Front Wipers Fault

Right, a fairly critical issue I think! What has been happening is that my front windscreen wipers decide by themselves when they want to work and when they can't be bothered! Quite often I'll be driving in rain with no problems, then suddenly the front wipers wont work no matter what...

    Stereo / amp problems.....please help!!

I've had this problem before, when you get the system working again and dry all the components/compartment, its an idea to cover all the connections in darathene as this makes them completely water resistant. Also, common cause of the water ingress in the boot side compartments is due to the sun...

    Ride Height

I'll look into all of these, the bushes need replaced at the back anyway so I'll do that soon and check the sensors at the same time. Could any of these issues relate to the rear brakes sticking when it is at access height? Almost seems like it goes so low that something is twisting and causing...
