    Nanocom Evolution

Hi Colin, Will the current Nano be able to upgrade to the CAN bus for later models? Is one of the little bugs your currently working on the one where you must connect to a non running engine before starting the car to get live feeds (P38 THOR) It's the only thing which I find a slight bother and...

4x4 Response, waste of space or worthwhile?

Blimey I'd love to help other people but when we get a puddle down saff here I'm to busy helping friends and family. I remember a long time ago when I had a Pajero and was down staying with "The Olds" in Cornwall. We had some major flooding. I went out to help and actually started helping the...

    Secondary Air Cylinder Heads

Right done some digging around RAVE again and I might have some good news. On the Disco 2 V8 engine RAVE refers to SAI adapters which once removed from the head must be replaced with new. However it only states 2 per head. They have a 9mm internal hexagonal drive and need to be torqued up on...

    Secondary Air Cylinder Heads

Yes it's very strange to have 20tpi on 5/8's. Normally 18. Which pointed me towards the pipe fittings. However I haven't found anything with 20 tpi. So either RAVE has a mistake in it or it's very peculiar fitting which screws in the heads for the SAI. At this point I'd nip off down my local...

    Secondary Air Cylinder Heads

The size I gave you came from the RAVE manual. It relates to the tap used to clean the threads during overhaul. Never thought about the Disco link could very well be where your heads came from. I've had a look for 20 tpi as well and it seems you can buy plenty of Taps for that thread but no...

    Secondary Air Cylinder Heads

I just went out and had a look at mine. It's a 4.6 registered in 2002 and built very late in 2001. I've not got the fittings you have on your heads. Which leads me to think the SAI was only fitted to export models, probably bound for the USA. Just trying to figure out where your heads have came...

Isn't it a bummer when where you live bumps your insurance so much. Mind you the 100 quid saving for being on here is pretty cool.

    Hello from Cyprus

Hi and Welcome. You are in one of my favourite holiday spots. My old Disco 1 had the Camera mounted just above the tow bar in the bumper. Very handy when towing to see if you remembered to put the jockey wheel up!!!!!!

    insurance discount

I use a broker called A-Plan. I've got the RR insured as a second car but with it's own stand alone policy. They mirrored the NCD on my daily driver and have let me gain NCD on the RR policy. So for an 02 Reg Vogue 4.6 with LPG I pay 238 a year with the policy now having 1 years NCD. That's 12k...

    Secondary Air Cylinder Heads

I thought the secondary injection (not used in the uk) Was a THOR engine thing and it went in to the exhaust manifolds. So not sure what heads you've got. What's the number of head bolt holes? Ignore that. Just looked at RAVE and it shows the cylinder heads have SAI adapters.

    opinion wanted on struts

I fitted all terrain shocks all round on mine. My original shocks were hanging and gave a very wallowing ride. The A.T's firmed it up a lot and give a lot of feed back at the cost of that plush deep pile carpet ride.
